My Garden - Colour in winter

The Barberry Bush berries  gives a cheerful red accent
to my winter garden...

...and the Beautyberry  bush is still
in full colour.  What is not to like about these?  :  )

  4. These are gorgeous winter garden colours Nell. I didn't know that beauty berry could be grown in Canada but I guess your climate is milder on the west coast.

  9. Hi Nell, The barberry is full of beautiful berries! I like the callicarpa too. I imagine the birds will be getting to these berries and enjoying them over the winter.

  11. That is Beauty Bush and not Beauty Berry, am I correct? We have Beauty Berry; I think our berries are coarser.

Yours Kolkwitzia, ours Callicarpa. Is that right?

    1. Actually, NellJean, the common names are often confused, but this bush is actually the Beautyberry, Callicarpa. Thanks : )
