These are gorgeous winter garden colours Nell. I didn't know that beauty berry could be grown in Canada but I guess your climate is milder on the west coast.
Hi Nell, The barberry is full of beautiful berries! I like the callicarpa too. I imagine the birds will be getting to these berries and enjoying them over the winter.

Actually, NellJean, the common names are often confused, but this bush is actually the Beautyberry, Callicarpa. Thanks : )
