Too bad that people don't find someone to take over their farms before they get to this point...someone somewhere would have loved to have made that their homeplace.
Would hate to be the one put to work clearing out these blackberry vines. Ouch!! In the south it's kudzu that goes all prehistoric on things--manmade and natural.
That is so sad but they do make for great photos. You are finding some great barns there Nell.
ReplyDeletewow! if it weren't for the rusty roof, you'd never see it. eaten away and swallowed in vines.
ReplyDelete1st thought: love that rusted roof. great for BC. ( :
ReplyDeleteSad to see them go...but they do make for some great photos!
ReplyDeleteNice photos. It is so sad to see these old family farms giving way to corporate agriculture.
ReplyDeleteAnother barn eaten by blackberries. :-( Think of what could have been done with the weathered wood before it rotted.
ReplyDeleteSo sad to be so overgrown but I think I'd put on tall boots and take a chance on the blackberries come summer! :)
ReplyDeleteI just think it's so sad these old barns are left to fall into ruin. But, they do make great photos!

ReplyDeleteUh oh, another one bites the dust!
ReplyDeleteIt's being swallowed up if wasn't for the roof you would've never seen it..
ReplyDeleteOhhh nooo! Such a shame it had to collapse. Sorry about that, but I'm so glad you joined Barn Charm =)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I can't believe how overgrown it is!!
ReplyDeleteNot much left. Poor thing!
