Trail Race and Alouette Lake

Last week Saturday we took part
in a 14 km trail race in
Golden Ears Provincial Park.

The race begins along the lakeshore
and then up into the trees and onto the hiking trails.
The scenery of  Alouette lake
is breathtaking each time we visit there.

The beaches were peaceful
and will be empty until summer...

.....and the water was quiet and still.

The BC Hydro Alouette Dam
at the mouth of the lake.

  2. I've never heard of that lake Nell. It certainly is a beautiful spot and kind of reminds one of Lake Louise doesn't it? Was the lake formed behind the dam when it was built? Did you have a successful run? I think one would have to be in very good shape to run on trails. That would not be me. :)
