Close to the door of my dwelling
I have a small clump of chives
nestled in my Perennial garden..
...so I can quickly run outside to snip off
a few fresh stems to spice up my salads...
Not only are the flowers charming,
they are edible as well. : )
Don't you think they make a great addition to my garden?

Oh I never thought about planting chives, yes they are gorgeous and they do add great blooms and texture. Super idea. Thanks tons for joining Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteThey are very charming! Your garden is lovely, too! I have a chive plant that is at least 10 years old. The deer won't eat it, but they do love the blossoms! But now my dogs keep them away. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI have chives in the garden too and enjoy snipping them for flavour in salads etc. They also have pretty blossoms but I've never eaten them. :)
ReplyDeletethey are beautiful...what a pretty plant!
ReplyDeleteYes I do. I also grow them and go out to snip at meal times.
ReplyDeleteI like the contrast between the purple flowers and the green stems. Butterflies always seek out my clump of chives.
ReplyDeleteI too love my chives! What was two starts three years ago are now 7 or 8. lol! They sure are pretty in bloom. I'll probably take a few out in the Fall. I also have garlic chives. They bloom later with a white star shaped bloom. Fun also, and give things a slight garlic flavor. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
I also have chives in my garden, love to use them in my cooking and pretty in a vase to!
