The weather is hot and summerlike and hazy...
...and you can see the hay windrows in the fields...
...of this 1950's farm which once was used as a movie set...
(All but the second house is original)
...and Mt. Baker, in Washington,
is just peaking over mountain. : )

Oh the beautiful barn those mountains it looks like a piece of heaven to me. B
ReplyDeleteA movie!!!! How cool is that!... :)JP
ReplyDeleteThat's one big barn! The setting is gorgeous and now I have to wonder what movie was filmed here?
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous spot to have a farm. Just to think about Mt. Baker being there in the background is exciting to me. I love how the little home place is right there in the midst of it all. I have lived out here in the country surrounded by farms and hay, and I never knew that there was a name for the cut hay before it is baled. You have taught me something tonight :-) You asked about the barn and if it was on stilts. It is built into a hill so one end is level and the other one it on "stilts". genie

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous barn, and a beautiful property. I could live there. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm sitting here trying to decide if it looks familiar from any movie I've seen. lol
I would normally be surprised by the haying going on, except that there have been several farmers in my own area who have already cut and will be bailing soon. We've had such unseasonably warm/dry weather that things are way ahead of schedule.
beautiful working farm & gorgeous backdrop! which movie?
