I always wondered what they were called and what catkins were too. :) Now I know. They make a pretty picture. I noticed one tree here that has really swollen buds but with snow coming tomorrow and a huge storm predicted for next Tuesday it'll be a while yet before the catkins bloom.
I've never seen that plant. Interesting. We are ready for spring here along the gulf coast in Alabama. We are expecting beautiful blue skies and warmer temps in the mid 70's.
Always happy to see new life!
ReplyDeleteThey are truly beautiful I am not sure if we have them here but I will now be looking:) B

ReplyDeleteI'm ready for spring anytime now, although it will be several weeks more here before we see signs like that.
