.....Some More of the Snow

(Pink Dawn Viburnum)

We only have some patches of snow
left from last weekend's snowstorm...
but here are a few more photos taken of this snowy event.

My Garden - Snow Covered

These photos were taken of my garden a few days ago
after the weekend snowstorm...
(..don't these three bears look
a little puzzled with this white stuff...)

...before all the snow began to melt...

...and when the wind carvings were still visible...

...and the perennials created an interesting pattern
against the snow.

Today we had a high of 12 C. and a lot of green
patches of lawn are
showing their faces.

Thank you for visiting!

A Good Reason to...

With all the wind and snow...
I'm not sure how
he is going to get out of his driveway...

...Maybe a good reason to just stay home.  : )

Winter Storm

It has definitely been wintry here
the last few days...

We don't often have snow here
as we are so close to the coast...

...but the snow and wind is making up for it today.
Notice the pink blossoms of the winter blooming
 Pink Dawn Virburnum!  :  )

Snowy Trails

We are having a snowy day today...
and the snow became deeper and deeper
as we gained elevation...

What a wonderful day to be outside
on the trails!

Mountain Snow

The Church of the Holy Redeemer, built in 1897 to 1902,
as viewed from Fort Langley,
against the backdrop of the Golden Ears Mountains,
covered with the thick layer of fresh snow
that has fallen in the last few days.
The skiers are happy!

Trail Run Before the Rain

Had a wonderful group trail run this morning...
and although the trails were muddy
and in some spots icy,
we could enjoy the beauty of God's creation.
We are forecast to have heavy rain and wind
this afternoon and evening...
a great time to curl up in a chair
with a good book.  :  )
(No, that's not me in the photo : )

Icy and.. .Warm

Yesterday we had the transition
between the cold and dry spell we had last week
and the warm and wet weather that was predicted for this week,
so we had a little snow and some freezing rain.

Freezing rains can be so dangerous for drivers but
it adds an ethereal beauty to this Cedar tree.
Today we are back to 9 C. so the ice has melted away.

Here the icicles are hanging from the railing.

Thank you for visiting!

Dusty Outflow Winds

Today the artic outflow winds
are bringing cold, dry air
to the valley below...

...and creating a bit of a dust storm...

...in the open fields.

Thank you for visiting my blog and stay warm!

Mountain Snow

We are back to winter.....

and a couple of days ago
the snow is creeping down the mountainside,
although we are snow free in the valley below.
(These pictures were taken with my point and shoot
and quality is definitely lacking.)
