These beautiful deer came sauntering
through the back of our acreage,
as they often do...
..nibbling on grass and stopping to take in the sights...
...and to ask , "What are you doing?"
...but when they started to nibble on my Japanese maples...
I said. "That is ENOUGH!!!
...and they ran off...
...a few feet.

Good captures.
ReplyDeleteOh deer. They are so nice to see but when they start nibbling on our trees etc. it's time for them to leave. We had 3 deer in our yard last night and after I took their pics I scared them off too. They were lunching on the cedar tree!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photography ~ amazing they keep coming back ~ ^_^
ReplyDeleteYour post made me chuckle this morning...I love deer, and you've captured them beautifully!
ReplyDeleteHahaha - they were really checking you out. Good luck keeping them from your maples.
ReplyDeleteGreat captures...We have a herd in our neck of the woods, but so far they haven't been into our lot...My R: http://lore-eleven.blogspot.com/2013/04/barn-light.html
ReplyDeleteOh, dear, I hope your tree survived! They are lovely animals to photograph.
ReplyDeleteDeer are so pretty. I love how they stopped to look at your. They can be a nuisance when they start nibbling on your trees,
ReplyDeleteLove following deer (with a camera)! Your header is absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat's right! They are great to come by, as long as they don't eat precious trees. :)
ReplyDeleteThey've done a number on any apple trees we've tried to grow!
ReplyDeleteWhitetails are beautiful, though.
They are so pretty to watch, but they can be an annoying nuisance once they start eating your shrubs and trees!
ReplyDeleteThey're so much fun to watch, but I wouldn't allow them to eat my Jap-Maps, either, no way =)
ReplyDeleteThey are cute, but hungry and can do a lot of damage... Thank you for sharing on 'Rurality Blog Hop #10!'
