Nice to see one in such good condition! I like the gray with green trim. I am always surprised at how close to the road some barns are. I imagine the road wasn't much at the time it was built.
Once upon a time these windows were very pretty and right now they have a character. I love a barn and love windows and a door. Great pictures and very charming barn.
Love the old windows and clapboard siding on this barn. I suppose when it was built the road was much narrower and not so close to the barn. Have a great day! Pam
Beautiful barn. Just think the road was maybe not there or not as wide when this barn was built. We have several barns in Stanwood where the road is higher than the barns foundation--so ya know the barn came first. Love 'em. MB
What a find. Do you think that this building was always used as a barn? Unusual(I think?)for them to have glass-paned windows? Regardless, a great find and I hope it doesn't get sacrificed for the road.
This setting reminds me so much of around here--close to the road and on a hill. This is a lovely barn set-up--always wonderful to find an original in such great shape! I esp. like the color combo--have not seen one like this around here.
I had to pop up to see where you live because the setting looks so 'Oregon'.
What a great barn. Not the first I've seen so close to a road, but when it (and others were built), chances are they sat alongside a single lane dirt road, no traffic except for the occasional (wagon or) car.
Thanks for visiting my blog this past week. See you for the next BC later today. :-)
It's a great barn and I love those windows!
