Sword Ferns up High

The Sword fern's favourite habitat
is the moist understory in our west coast forests...

and they remain vividly green all winter....

...but what amazes me the most
is that they thrive not only on the forest floor,
but also up in the tall Broad Leaf Maple trees.

  5. Ferns are so beautiful. I've never heard of sword ferns and that' really neat that they also grow in trees.
