Rewarding Hike

(Cultus Lake in the distance)

Went for a lovely hike early yesterday morning...

(Snow capped Mt. Baker)

...up Elk Mountain and on to Mt Thurston,
where there were lovely panoramic views
of the surrounding mountains
and the valleys below....

...along the ridge...

...on a well traveled trail
edged with lovely wildflowers.

  1. It certainly is beautiful Nell but there's no way I could walk on the trail. Yikes!! Too scary for me to even look at. I'm serious. I have such a fear of heights now that I can barely look at photos like that one with the path knowing I might have to walk there. It sure is gorgeous scenery though. Blessings, Pam

  2. What a beautiful place! Lovely for a hike! I get vertigo just looking at that last photo, though. xo Karen

  4. Beautiful! There's nothing quite like an invigorating hike. Hubby and I love hiking but have not done nearly as much as usual this summer. Hopefully we'll get some in on our vacation!

  5. Gorgeous views! It looks like a wonderful hike, at least for those of you who are not height challenged.
