A Majestic View

 
Every time we make the road trip to Alberta
we have the wonderful opportunity
to view majestic Mt Robson,
the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies,
and the second highest mountain in all of BC.
The white clouds allowed us
a glimpse of the beautiful mountain
 before it enveloped the peak and hid
the mountain from our view.

My Garden - Bluebells

 
 Bluebells are in full bloom right now..

 
...putting on a lovely, fragrant show in my garden.

 
Lovely as they are,
 they do need to be controlled and thinned,
as they multiply fairly quickly.

Rising River

 
Warm weather in May
 and the Vedder River is rising...

 
The warm temperatures are melting the snow upriver...
and slowly the gravel bars are disappearing...

 
Crossing the train bridge
you can sense the power
 of the rushing water below...
 

 
...a lovely, blue green river,
always restless and moving.

My Garden - In the Shade

 
My shade garden ...

 
...is on the north side of the house.  
It's subtle beauty,
with plants like the native Bleeding Heart,
Hostas, Saxifraga....

 
and the delicate"forget me not" like flowers
of Brunnera,
enables me to smile
every time I walk by.

My garden - Lilacs and More

 
After a particularly hot day today(28+ C)...

 
...the lilacs are rapidly opening their blooms,
..and their wonderful scent wafts through the air...

 
...as well as other delightful surprises
 in my garden.

 
We were able to enjoy
 a couple of delightful summer days
before the return of spring and cooler temperatures tomorrow.
