Warm and Cold

 

Blustery warm winds,

 whipped the flags from the southwest on Thursday...

...straight from Hawaii...

 

...while today the freezing artic outflow winds

whip the flags from the north east,

frigid air straight from the Yukon.

Keep warm everyone!

Change is in the Air

 

Our country road a few weeks ago...

 

...still looking fairly lush and green....

 

Today, the leaves have all fallen

and winter is on the way.

(and my windshield is dirty  :  )

Faded and Fallen

 

Taken a few weeks ago,

these photos show the beautiful colour of the fall leaves...

 

...which have now faded and fallen,

buffeted by wind, rain and frost...

 

..but lovely while it lasted.  :  )

Bear Audience

 

A young black bear sat down, doglike,

and watched us while we watched him

from the safety of the our back deck...

Until he had enough,

and wandered to the back of our property..

 

...with a back ward glance

 over his shoulder

Dark October Morning

 

With the fall rains the morning  are dark...

 

..wet and misty,

...but we are cozy

inside a toasty warm home.  :  )
