Blocked Trail

 

On our trail run this morning,

we had to clamber over these two

 tall trees which had fallen and

 blocked the trail right over a creek crossing. 

We used the slippery limbs to climb over and still kept our feet dry.

The creek was much larger than usual because of all the rain we had this past week.

My Garden- Winter Heath

 

 Heath is blooming in my garden...

 

....and is putting on a fine display...

 

See the water droplets tenaciously hanging on the delicate flowers...

 

Different varieties, different colours...

 

 

We have had large amounts of rain,

with still more to come.

Lots of signs that spring is imminent.

My Garden - Blooming Inspite of the Snow

 

Even after a snow storm

the Lenten Rose cheerfully

keeps on blooming.....

 

...and the moisture loving moss

remains a brilliant green...

 

...and the pots are waiting for spring.   :  )

Our snow has almost all disappeared now...

...hopefully spring is on it's way.

Another Snow Fall

 

After last weekend's snowstorm,

pretty much all the snow had melted...

and the temperatures  

were mild...

 

...until this weekend,

when we had another snow event....

A large amount of snow fell on Sunday,

changing to freezing rain

and then just rain.
