Beautiful Moods of Nature

A moody day in Jasper National Park,
with the low cloud and fog finally lifting,
but the weather can not subdue the mature colours of late summer.
Here we see glimpses of the Athabasca River,
which originates in the Rockies
and flows north into the Mackenzie River,
eventually draining into the Artic Ocean
many miles away.

Dominating the Landscape

Mt. Robson is a "must stop" every time we drive through the area.
I'm always enthralled by the stature of this majestic mountain,
less than an hour west of Jasper.
It is the highest peak of the Rocky mountains and the second highest mountain in BC (3,954m)
