Wilderness

Some say that the wilderness is anything more than
20 minutes from a Tim Hortons.
Here we have a view of both worlds.

Mt. Baker gives us a beautiful backdrop.

Country Dreams

The area of Ryder Lake lies above the valley
and the surrounding views allow you to believe that you are far away from the busy city life.
However the busy valley is just a few miles away.

Wowing Factor

Mt. Cheam gives an impressive backdrop to any view.
It's almost November and still no snow on it's peak

Towards the Light...

Close to Mt. Robson
we see a glimmer of brightness.....
 and fresh snow
on the mountain tops.

...and then I had fun with the photo.  :  )

Different shades of yellow add a pop of fall colour
to the trees
 on the Alberta prairie.

Evening Glow

After a warm, muggy, May day....

...and a rare thunderstorm..

...we were able to enjoy
the glowing evening reflection...

...of the setting sun.

A Visitor

Look who visited this morning...
(so glad I wasn't working in my garden)

...a blur running in our back yard..

...while I took a photo from the safety of my back deck...

...and the deer watched from the neighbour's hill.

Heli-logging

(It's hard to take a good photo in the early morning haze)

The view from our front door....
...we could watch this helicopter carry logs
from the steep hillside down to the logging truck below.

If you look carefully you can see the line from the helicopter
attached to the log far below....

...and he quickly flew another log...

...and one more log....

(He resembles a little mosquito)

....and another ....

.....and one more log.
I think you get the picture now  : )

Cloudy Skies

The partly cloudy sky dominates this photo
of the level fields...

...which lie between the forested mountains.
(It's sure was handy to have
my little point and shoot camera with me)  :  )

Farmer's On the Go

The farmers are busy emptying their manure pits...

...and fertilizing their fields....

...a sure sign spring is here.

Yellow Cheer

Our Leopard's Bane has been blooming it's heart out
for weeks now
with it's cheerful little yellow daisy like flowers...

...a wonderful reminder of my mother's flower garden.

...and the Pansies love the spring weather as well.

Thank you for visiting my blog!

Living Gardens

My hubby was hard at work today.  : )

The fresh bark mulch in the gardens
make all the plants  seem to pop...

Yes, spring is here...

..and all the gardens are coming alive.
